It’s time to talk about RAW – can we talk about filters and editing for a minute? I mean…ugh! If I had a dime for every woman I know who uses filters on her Instagram and Facebook posts or, even worse, those crazy filters on snapchat, well…I’d be just shy of a bazillionaire.
Bling Bling! It drives me crazy! And, yes, I know it’s odd for a photographer to go off about filters—especially a boudoir photographer as we’re kind of known for being meticulous with our client edits—but I need to keep it real here!
I’m all for the glamorous, let’s-get-gussied-up and go the gorgeous mile with my boudoir clients (I LOVE those kind of sessions), but truth-be-told, I believe they are just as gorgeous without all the hair and makeup and fuss that comes with most boudoir shoots.
Hence the latest amazing project—RAW (Real Authentic Women) sessions.
I’ve joined a group of photographers who are all striving to take women as they are and show them the goddess that is always there, peeking out from behind their insecurities and doubts about themselves.
I mean, we all have insecurities, right! We all have our moments when we look in the mirror and find ourselves lacking somehow. We all sometimes wish we were prettier, thinner; had better hair, better skin; felt better about ourselves.
And it’s time this silliness stops. It’s time we start looking in the mirror and embracing all that we are, flaws and all—because you fabulous, boo!
So, ya, it’s time to get RAW! A portrait session for every babe out there of every color, shape, and size, with no hair, no makeup, no muss, no fuss. My goal is to spend time with you and shoot you from the most flattering angles in the most killer light I can find.
To take those photos and do as little to them as possible (aside from changing them to black and white, if the mood strikes) and then watch you shine as you see the innate beauty of the natural goddess within you—gorgeous, vulnerable, real.
So come on, my beauties! Isn’t it time we all get a little Real with each other?
XOXO,
EB
