I know, how can we even start thinking about Valentine’s day during Covid19? Seems crazy, but hun, we need to still spoil ourselves with some serious self-love whenever we can during these crazy times. So, Valentines and Covid – how should we celebrate?
I mean, we all I think can agree this year feels just as off as last year, but we also do see the end in sight now. So, I think it is important that we make sure to treat ourselves to much-deserved self-love on Valentine’s day. There are a few ways we can make this day special whether it’s just for you or something for both yourself and your partner.
Ideas for Valentine’s and Covid
A Boudoir Shoot
If you are located in Denver, girl – you need to get yourself a Boudoir Session. There really is no better way to start off 2021 and also to dip your toes into a Covid Valentine’s day. We also make sure to do everything Covid friendly, so no worries there!
Boudoir is an amazing gift- let’s be real with each other. Whether you are gifting this to yourself or looking for that little something to gift your special someone, boudoir opens us up to our goddess within and allows us to be our real selves. Which during this past year, and even the few weeks of 2021, I think we could all use it.
It is important to me that the ladies who visit me in Denver see this as a gift to themselves. A little treat, because life is tough and we need to celebrate who we are.
Watch that Rom-Com
I can honestly say I am a sucker for Rom-Coms – anyone else?
Well, if you are, there really is no better excuse to stay in this Valentine’s day and curl up with your favorite movie, that cup of tea, and some fresh popcorn.
light the mood by setting up some candles, throwing all the comfy pillows and blankets out on the couch, or maybe even make yourself a living room bed for the night! And watch Valentine’s Day movies that give you all those feels. A date night like this allows us to stay comfortable within our home if you may not feel comfortable getting out and about.
Attend a Concert (Right from your living room)
I don’t know about you, but I miss concerts! That is why I am so happy that some artists have decided to go the streaming route. This allows us to still connect with our creative side – music truly brings me ease – during such a stressful time like Covid.
After you finish that perfect Valentine’s dinner, made from scratch and all from your kitchen, you can curl up with your beverage of choice – for me its all the tea – girl, if its vino – pour yourself a nice glass, sit back and enjoy this moment from the comfort of your couch.
If it is you and your partner, you could make a list of some of your favorite artists that you would love to watch live and see if they will be streaming something live for Valentine’s day. A lot of artists have moved to this option.
Cook At Home
I know this one is pretty obvious. But with Covid, I feel we have almost lost the love we all had for cooking a home-cooked meal. So, instead of doing the usual you could mix it up and throw in a sexy dessert like a Chocolate Fondue, or if chocolate is not your jam, you could make it the main course and do a cheese fondue instead! Options, it’s all about options.
For me, chocolate all the way, hun! What’s sexier than making your own chocolate-covered strawberries at home with that special someone? And if it just your, yourself and I – while girl, spoil yourself. You do not need someone to feel sexy.
Those are just a few ideas! There are so many ways we could make Valentine’s day sexy this year, whether that be a solo boudoir shoot or a couples boudoir, to staying home and just enjoying some much needed R&R. All I ask hun, is that make sure you do something for yourself this year. We all deserve it.
