Boudoir, to nude or not to nude. That ‘s probably one of my most commonly asked questions! Generally, it goes a little something like “Yikes, I don’t have to go nude do I?!” The answer is – of course not, you don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with!
“Going nude just isn’t for me.”
It’s totally up to you how naked you get at your shoot. It all depends on what you want to get out of the experience! I photograph all of my clients in a way that you will ensure you feel your best – not just what your significant other may want. Before we start your session, we will talk about your comfort level of nudity. That way I can be sure not to suggest something that would make you uncomfortable.
“What if I change my mind?”
If you’d decided you didn’t want any nudie shots but change your mind – all the power to you! This session is yours and only yours, and we can do whatever is going to make you feel beautiful in the moment. If that means you want to wear your partners’ button up shirt the whole time – great! If it means a sexy new bodysuit – yep, love it! I always encourage my clients to use their boudoir session as an excuse to go out and buy something nice for yourself. If you’re able, buying a beautiful new garment to wear for your photo shoot can make it feel more like a gift to yourself. It’s also a great way to present the photos if you’re planning on gifting them to your partner. All in all, I would say that about 80% of my clients who come in for a boudoir session end up going topless by the end of their shoot, because, I just help them feel so comfortable! There’s often an “aaah, what the hell” moment where the top comes off and we get a few shots at the end of the session. The beauty of this is, if you don’t like them we don’t have to keep them! I am very flexible with my boudoir style.
At the end of the day, the thing that makes me happiest is you walking away feeling sexy and empowered with a ton of images you’re proud to look at.
