What to Expect From Your Boudoir Session (If You’ve Never Done This Before)
If you’ve never done a boudoir session before, it’s completely normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves.
In fact, almost every single woman who reaches out to me says some version of:
“I’ve always wanted to do this, but I’m so nervous.”
Let me walk you through exactly what to expect — because once you understand the process, it feels a lot less intimidating.
And a lot more exciting.

Before Your Session
Once you’re officially booked, you’re not left alone wondering what to do next.
You’ll receive guidance on:
- What to wear (and what photographs beautifully)
- How many outfits to bring
- Styling suggestions that fit your personality
- Tips to feel prepared and relaxed
You do not need to know how to “dress sexy.” You do not need elaborate lingerie. Some of the most powerful images are created in oversized sweaters, simple bodysuits, or classic black lingerie.
We curate your wardrobe around you — your comfort level, your style, and how you want to feel.

The Day Of: You Don’t Have to Know How to Pose
This is the biggest fear I hear:
“I’m awkward in photos.”
I promise you — you are not awkward. You just haven’t been directed.
During your session, I guide everything.
From where to place your hands
To how to angle your chin
To how to breathe
To when to move slowly
You will never be standing there wondering what to do. Boudoir is about guided movement, not stiff posing. It’s subtle shifts, intentional angles, and small adjustments that make a huge difference.
You do not need modeling experience.
You just need to show up.

It’s More Comfortable Than You Think
Most women imagine boudoir will feel extremely exposed or intimidating.
In reality, it feels surprisingly calm.
The studio is private. The environment is intentional. The pacing is slow and relaxed. There’s space to laugh, take breaks, adjust, and settle in.
We move at your comfort level.
If you want implied nudity — beautiful.
If you want fully covered but sensual — beautiful.
If you want somewhere in between — also beautiful.
This experience is about empowerment, not pressure.

After the Session
Here’s what most women don’t expect:
The shift.
When you see your images for the first time, there’s often a pause. A quiet moment of disbelief.
“I didn’t know I looked like that.”
You start to see your body as shape and light and movement instead of criticism. You notice strength. Softness. Power.
Boudoir doesn’t change your body.
It changes your perspective.

Who Is Boudoir For?
Boudoir is for:
- The woman celebrating a milestone
- The woman rediscovering herself
- The bride
- The mom
- The woman healing
- The woman who simply wants to feel powerful
You do not need a reason.
You are reason enough.
If you’ve been curious but unsure, I invite you to start the conversation. Ask questions. Explore what it could look like for you.
You don’t have to feel fully confident to book.
Confidence is often the result — not the requirement.
Let’s chat more, love. XO
