Stop saying you need to lose weight for boudoir- let’s get real, ok!?
If I had a dollar for every time someone told me, “I really want to do a boudoir session, but I need to lose weight first,” I could probably buy another camera. Or ten.
As a boudoir photographer, this mindset is my biggest pet peeve—not because I don’t understand where it comes from, but because I know it’s a lie we’ve been sold over and over again.

You Are Not a “Before”
We live in a world that constantly tells us we need to shrink to be worthy of attention, love, or even a beautiful photo of ourselves. But let me say this loud and clear:
You do not need to lose weight for boudoir or be smaller to be powerful, sensual, or beautiful.
You are not a “before.” You are already enough. Right now. In the body you woke up in this morning.
Boudoir isn’t about “fixing” anything.
It’s about celebrating everything.
Boudoir Is for Every Body So Don’t Go and Lose Weight for Boudoir
I work with women of all shapes, sizes, ages, and life experiences. The common thread? Every single one of them walked into the studio thinking they wouldn’t know how to pose, that they were “awkward,” or that they should’ve done something to “get ready” for this. Check out my gallery to see a selection of these badass babes!!
And you know what? They all left feeling like goddesses.
Why? Because boudoir isn’t about hitting some mythical goal weight. It’s about showing up. For yourself. As you are.
You do not have to loose weight for boudoir, babe! (Broken record, but I will repeat myself if this helps you hear me.)
Let’s celebrate a few amazing plus sized babes out there for a second and check out this article from Marie Claire “The 15 Most Famous Plus Size Models In The World”.

Confidence Is Not a Size
Here’s the truth I wish every woman knew:
Confidence is not something that comes after you lose ten pounds.
It comes when you start giving yourself permission to take up space and feel good right now.
Boudoir gives you a chance to rewrite the narrative. To take back the camera. To see yourself the way others already do—with admiration, love, and respect.

So If You’ve Been Waiting…
Let me lovingly say this: Stop waiting while you’re attempting to lose weight for boudoir.
Don’t let a number on a scale be the gatekeeper to your confidence.
You don’t need to earn your worthiness.
You already have it. Don’t go and loose weight for boudoir, ok babe? Promise.
Ready to see how powerful you already are?
Let’s book your session. Come as you are—I’ll take care of the rest.
